People use to say that a man is only complete and has fulfilled his mission in this world after he contributes for the generation of a child, he writes a book and plants a tree! If we believe on this we are then supposed to realize we achieved the ultimate state of happiness in our life(1) by the time we achieve completeness. In fact, if for some reason I was asked to give an opinion about that modern stuff called “same sex marriage” I would answer “no”. I assume I am a writer just for the simple reason that I write things I want them to be read by someone. In the last couple of weeks I have had nothing I wanted to be read by someone, therefore I’ve been all this time long without [...] My Vietnam is over. I’m counting already the minutes. Suddenly I thought I could go looking for the lyrics of that song from Dire Straits, “Brothers In Arms” (from the album with the same name, 1985), and add some more fantasy to this post. “My Vietnam” it’s a fantasy only. No dead bodies, no pain, no invasion, no politics, no racism, no “born to kill” [...] It’s so hard to understand English, isn’t it? As much hard as to understand any other language but only English is the worldwide official spoken and written language for communication between people not speaking a common language. This time I leave space for the language experts. Let’s see what Richard Lederer has to say about the “universal” language… 1 – Crazy Language English [...] No matter what you’re talking about, size really matters. It’s impressive the power of this phrase to make people thinking about sex. I believe that such a power is no more than the effect of good marketing operations because the phrase has been used lately in TV advertising sketches to promote some products which, normally, have nothing to do with sex but for which the [...] …or “What the hell am I writing these fucking posts in English for?”. The answer may be quite complex but understandable if you really care about it, I mean, if you are patient enough to understand the reasons that Reason knows nothing about… Let’s start from the beginning then, even knowing that not everything has necessarily to start by the beginning.
