Today it’s happening, tomorrow will be another day. I woke up this morning with a good feeling for the running day but up to now I was not able to figure out why. As a matter of fact nothing has changed in my life but I felt I could see life, at least for today, in a “half full glass” manner instead of my usual [...] After I wrote my post about a Jewel’s song (see it here), I got a comment, off the record, from an old soul with the intention of complimenting me for my good effort of translating, from English to Portuguese, the lyrics of “Foolish Games”. I am talking in this case, about a song which sounded to her, the above mentioned old soul, in a specific [...] Today this blog has been upgraded from version 2.5.1 to 2.6.2. This upgrade just brings some minor improvements to writers and readers. In the next couple of days some little malfunctions may arise until upgrade is totally achieved. Enjoy this blog !! … or “when stepping forward it’s much less painful than stepping backward”! Depressing? Probably. Giving up? It may occur sometimes, I should say it, but time (as much as weather(1)), will be a good adviser… “Orgizmo” stands for “Organizational gizmo” and it is an abbreviation just created by me to express a specific state of one’s professional life. What does orgizmo mean and how to recognize [...] One bottle of good Portuguese wine, “vinho verde”, white line, one portion of “codfish handjob”, one portion of pork tripes, much of (great) Portuguese bread and olives and there we were, ready for another evening of caustic soda production. Talking was flowing the better the bigger was the amount of consumed alcohol. It is like so every time we go for a relaxing evening, mainly [...] Three reasons made me writing this post: I feel depressed, Jewel Kilcher is gorgeous, this song depresses me even more and I always had this strong will of translating a song from English to Portuguese. Case you haven’t noticed, I’ve announced three reasons but I gave you four. Case you feel much angry with that, just throw one of them away. In any case, once [...] This post is my tribute to number forty-nine! Forty-nine is a relevant number cause is the one right before fifty, which, in principle, is the topmost of the upmost numbers. For a man, of course. May the gods be with me… and with myself! Life not always makes sense and not all thoughts flowing in our mind seem to be completely related to our day by day or connected to our current state of spirit. For some reason I woke up one of these days with a short sentence which insisted quite a lot on not leaving my brain and so has remained resident in it since then. The [...] Today this blog has been upgraded from version 2.2 to 2.5.1. We hope this upgrade is now hackers proof… In the next few days some little malfunctions may arise until upgrade is totally achieved. Anyhow, the trojan showing up in the last days no longer lives here. Enjoy this blog !! |
